Why We Love This Brand
Candylab Toys was founded by Vlad Dragus in 2012. An architect by trade, he came up with the idea when his daughter, during dinner, asked him to make a toy car out of a noodle box. Its range of vehicles come from a deep love of classic cars and the craftsmanship spirit of mid-century artisan furniture designers. Their mission is to make wooden toys better than plastic ones, with zero compromises. The lumber comes from well-managed forests from North America, mostly Canada, the packaging is made from paper and cardboard and they use non-toxic paints when printing. Their thoughtful design even extends to how a toy is opened - "No one should need to use a sharp blade to free up a toy from a blister pack."
