Big Future Toys was started by Kristin and Steve Rho, parents of 3 girls, in 2017. After becoming parents in 2011, "Like all parents, we wanted the best for our kids, but had a tough time finding sustainable, educational toys. So we rolled up our sleeves and started making them ourselves." They use sustainable wood from FSC-certified forestes to reduce the impact of the environment - especially when 90% of toys are made from petroleum-based plastic, which generates a huge amount of greenhouse gases and waste. They also plant a tree for every toy purchase which helps farmers plant trees, restore their land, and escape the cycle of poverty. They design our toys to be super durable and open-ended so kids can use over and over again in fresh new ways.
