In 1968, Jim Toatley from Shindana Toys designed Baby Nancy, the first "authentically beautiful black doll". Shindana believed that "children can learn to relate at an early age …"
This collection is meant to do just that - help children relate. We have dolls for boys, blocks for girls, dolls with different skin tones, hair colors and are actively expanding to include more.

We designed this collection of screen free toys to make "parenting in another location" a bit easier and to have watching a movie as plan B.

Women-Owned
One of the main reasons we started this store was to showcase the creativity and ingenuity of women who, unable to find the right type of toys, decided to design their own. They focus on unique details, often overlooked, like the crinkle texture in the Nursery Times for visually impaired children or the perfect yarn for the Bowie Rattle to help regulate body temperature. They also keep parents in mind, making sure the toys are easy to clean, store and travel with.
